Academic Advising

First-Year Students

All first-year students at Moravian will be assigned to an academic advisor. Most often, that advisor is a Moravian faculty member. Often, that advisor is also in a field close to the intended major of the student.

Advisor and new students first meet during Summer FAIR. This will include group and individual meetings for each advisor and their new student advisees.

In preparation for Summer FAIR, students need to complete the pre-registration survey in AMOS. Student schedules for Fall will be influenced by intended major, as well as writing, language, and math placement. Final changes to course schedules will be made in the summer or first week of classes in consultation with the academic advisor.
